Keeping Busy....

WIth the hubby off to New Jersey and hanging out with some of by best friends who live in New York City, I am keeping myself entertained with working, spending time with the family and getting my checklist complete. That's right...PACKING! Dang, not my favorite thing to do in the world, but I have lots of time & lots of help! So far, I am working out a packing list that will allow me to finish all the rooms in the house by Thursday or Friday. I'll keep you updated. We're also trying to sell a bunch of the furniture we purchased when we arrived here in Kansas City. Now we did purchase it all from Craigslist and now we're selling it all on craigslist, so there it's not a complete loss. We may even break even. It's amazing what you can do with that website! All hail CRAIGSLIST!!! Besides selling, the list includes:

Pack Bedroom
Pack Guest Bedroom
Pack Bathroom & Hall Closet
Pack Coat Closet
Pack Kitchen
Pack Living Room
Pack Office
Pack Man Cave
Pack Laundry
Pack Basement
Pack Upstairs Bathroom
CLEAN
CLEAN
CLEAN
So I guess things are going well and we're on our way to getting our stuff together to be stored. The hardest part will be deciding what to store and what to keep as a necessity. Clothes especially for me, because I have no idea what I will be able to fit into and what I won't be able to wear. I have high hopes that all will go well.

On another note, my mother and I did the Trolley Run early Sunday morning and had a great time! We actually did the "fitness walk", but whose counting. We had a blast and really enjoying being a part of such a wonderful cause. There were a number of famous runners amongst the crowd. The male winner ran something right over 17 minutes while the female winner ran somewhere just over 20 minutes! Seriously!! Fast Running! 4 miles! I was impressed, but we mostly enjoyed walking and the free food at the end. :o) Who doesn't?
Well, not much else going on, but I thought I'd entertain myself by blogging. Off to sell furniture! Then pack! Woo Hoo!
Love you all, A,K,O&C

New York Giants!

That right folks, we are now NEW YORK GIANTS fans! Andrew was picked up by the Giants on Wednesday of this week and left early Thursday morning. He will be at Camp for the next couple months and we are very excited to get a fun new start! Currently, I am hanging around, tying up loose ends, packing and hanging out with my family. I'll be visiting soon, but I'm trying to remain stress free and very healthy for our little one!! Thank you everyone so much for all of your support and love!

Family & Friends!!!

We have a little surprise on the way! We are ecstatic and so excited to begin our family together. Currently, I am 11 weeks pregnant and I am feeling just fine. I have had some nausea, but as long as I eat, all is well. I have mostly been tired and eating everything in sight which is already a characteristic I posses....
The BIG DUE DATE: November 1, 2009

We have decided as of now not to find out the sex of our baby. We just hope the baby will be cooperative and not give away the surprise, but we'll see. As of now, all we have is the exciting news....so now it's just time to wait!
We are so excited and will keep you updated on what is to come!!!
Love you all so much, Andrew, Kathryn & Baby

Doggie Easter Egg Hunt....

Need I say more....my aunt Lisa let me know that her two puppies, Henry and George, had requested a Easter Egg Hunt and after speaking with my puppies, Oscar and Copper, those feelings were reciprocated. Thus, A DOGGIE EASTER EGG HUNT! It was a lot of fun. There were around 6 to 8 dogs hanging out and even more people. Copper and George figured out how to find eggs, break them open and eat the treats. George even figured you could eat the egg. Why not? The rest of the puppies had plenty of help from all of the people hanging out. Oscar followed new people ever few minutes, so they didn't know he had already received treats. Sneaky little guy.... Well, besides all the playing and treat eating, our dogs loved it and would love to be a part the hunt again next year!!! Thank you Lisa!!! LOVE YOU, O&C

Bridget's Bridal Shower!

Every time one of my friends has a baby shower or bridal shower or sends me a wedding invitation I have to step back and gasp. It just amazes me that they are all so grown up! Amazing!!! However, then I have to remind myself that I am married and I am a member of my ever growing family (our dogs are our children, but that's big enough for me). It is just crazy to see everyone so happy and so exciting to be a part of all of the celebrations.
So congratulations to my most recent friend, Bridget Maria Boggess! She was absolutely glowing at her Bridal Shower and I am so exciting for her upcoming nuptials!! Brad is one lucky guy and I am so excited for them! They have so much to look forward to! Believe us, marriage is wonderful....it may be hard later on, but we are enjoying every minute together right now!!!
Good luck to all my friends and I am looking forward to so many more Bridal Showers, Weddings and BABY Showers (still crazy)!!! Love you all, A&K

Scheduled for May 10, 2009!

My first friend to have a beautiful bubbly baby was always going to be Ellie Larson, but now it is official. Ellie Jane "Larson" Zavoral and her husband Tom Zavoral are having their first baby!!! We are all so excited for them and everything the future has in store for the three of them. The gender of the baby and the baby's size have all been guessed, so now we're just waiting for the bundle of love to come out.
On March 31st, I was able to attend a second baby shower in Ellie's honor hosted by her mother's friends. It was a lot of fun seeing all of my friends lovely mothers here in Kansas City while everyone else is away! Katie Sloman was a big surprise to see, coming all the way from San Diego to a blizzard zone here in Kansas. It was a fun shower were everyone shared "A piece of advice" for the future parents and we all chipped in for a Bug-A-Boo for Ellie and Tom. Ellie has let us all know that Bug-A-Boos are the way to go and the only stroller allowed on the Upper West Size in Manhattan! Love you Ellie & Tom! Congratulations! You two will make wonderful parents and I hope Andrew & I can take advice from you in the future! Love, A&K
